One of the earliest pieces of feedback I received after sharing the link to Workroom with friends and family was that some people were turned off by the mention of AI and agents.
As a toolmaker, I care how people perceive the things I make. If someone rejects a tool because it doesn't help them, I'm totally good with that. If someone rejects a tool that would very much help them because it mentions AI, it means I'm telling the wrong story.
I care about making the very best tools for people to express their ideas. Whether a tool uses AI is very much secondary. I'm building Workroom to help people, not to promote agents.
I think AI and agents can be a powerful support to a person's creativity, but I know not everyone sees it that way.
Workroom is built by me using AI. Workroom's suite of tools will have AI-powered features. If I do my job well, you won't even notice where AI is integrated. You will be able to do things you can't do in other tools. You won't find chat boxes littered about.
Workroom is built for people.
